Monica is a CPA, CA, and Director at Martin & Associates. She began her career at a national firm in St. John’s, providing assurance and advisory services across a variety of industries, with a focus on private and not-for-profit entities.

Born and raised in Newfoundland, Monica holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Memorial University of Newfoundland and earned her CPA, CA designation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in 2014. She is a licensed public accountant under Newfoundland and Labrador's Public Accountant’s Act.

Monica is passionate about helping small to medium-sized owner-managed businesses achieve their goals. She believes in fostering strong relationships with business owners, understanding their unique challenges, and offering practical solutions that drive sustainable growth.

Monica believes that the key to balancing a busy career and personal life is maintaining a positive attitude and embracing life as it comes. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and exploring Newfoundland’s beautiful hiking trails.

Monica is also committed to community involvement and currently serves as Treasurer for the Women in Resource Development Corporation and a member of the CPA NL practice inspection committee.
